I thought about it for a while, but things have been going really well lately and Frida is about to be backed in mere weeks. I currently work with a trainer twice a week and work with my horse 5 days a week. I have done all of her training physically by myself, with direction from a professional. I feel happy to have gradually see her evolve into an respectful, loving companion, and me becoming competent to communicate with her. It's an experience my years of riding didn't quite fine tune. While I was muddling over whether to send her, I began to think about how vast the change would be if I sent her away to trained. I'm not talking about learning discipline or "being broke". I was wondering if anybody had a horse who's personality changed to such a degree that it upset you upon completing a month or two at the trainers. Again, aside from the learning your horse gained, was there a big difference in the personality of the horse, or "lightness?"
