A string of events has led us to treating my horse for ulcers with omeprazole and some electrolyte paste for dehydration (will explain the full story when I can type on my computer)

Anyways, anyone had to give their horse both of these and the best order to do so? I would assume that the concentrated salts of the electrolyte paste would be harsh on an ulcer horses stomach, so is it best to give the omeprazole first then wait a couple hours for the electrolytes?

Thanks in advance for any input :)

I split stuff up anyway so I would give them separately.

I have given Omeprazole often to one of my horses, it has never seemed to make him thirsty. I think I would give it first, then give the electrolytes half hour or an hour later, if you have that kind of time:)

Sounds like your horse doesn't want to drink enough water in this cold weather:-(

I hope he is back to normal soon:)
