American Half Quarter Horse Registry/Kiger Horse Registry

I've been looking into getting a kiger mustang/quarter horse cross. She was an accident (breeder intended only to breed kiger mustang to kiger mustang, but his 20-something quarter horse mare made her own decisions and got in on the action). But I'm wondering if anyone has any experiences with with the AHQHA? Is registering with them worth it? Does it really have any benefits other than getting papers on a horse?

On a similar note, does the Kiger horse registry allow half-breeds? She's a beautiful dun including the leg stripes, but I don't know if they'd take her with her being half quarter horse.

Just curious about benefits and possibilities before I put money down on her! Thanks!

Other than a horse that is 1/2 or partial Thoroughbred & Quarter Horse, I don't think the AQHA allows 1/2 breed horses to be registered.

And like the others stated, unless you plan on doing AQHA shows with your horse (provided she could be registered), there is no real benefit to registering her with AQHA.
I'm not talking about the AQHA, I'm talking about the AHQHA. http://www.halfquarterhorseregistry.com/

Yeah, I know she couldn't be registered with the original AQHA, but that's why I'm wondering about the other registry. They require only that one parent of the horse is a registered quarter horse, which is true for this filly. I'm just not sure it's really worth it to pay the money to register, so I'm hoping someone else has done it and can tell me if they've encountered any benefits of doing it.
