Hey, guys. I'm in a frenzy searching through all my vet books to find something, so I thought i'd ask you guys to see if y'all had a clue. I was at the barn today, and as I was grooming Sunbun I found quite a good size (quarter-sized width, maybe a one-fourth to one-half-inch tall) knot on her right fore short pastern. It is firm, and she doesn't seem touchy when I mess with it. She is showing no signs of lameness, and I don't feel any heat. I also don't see any puncture wounds. It's got me kinda worried. Any ideas? If it hasn't gone down by tomorrow i'm calling the vet.

Bug bite? Fracture that calcified? Could be anything really.
