Okay. We got this horse as a rescue he had severe tapeworms. He is now recovering. I belive he might be a quarab. He a very rough gait, it's almost like he swivels in the hind end. He does not have any lameness issues or anything he has been checked out by our equine vet so everything is okay there. He has fairly fine boned and very narrow in his chest, also he has larger hooves. I don't know if any of this would help but...

Oh he's 14.3 about 900 lbs (despite the looks of the photos he is still underweight he just has a pot belly). He is also a red roan.

Looks like a QH to me. Nothing "special". Just stock type horse.

If he's as underweight as he looks he would almost definitely be decently over 1000lbs so for a 14.3 hand horse that is on the heavier end.

Better pictures would help. Face pictures would be good too, or anything that can help us distinguish anything.

I couldn't tell from that photo... Maybe some Arab with that dished head.
Bless his heart, I hope he comes back to full health soon. Poor guy!

I'd love to watch his progress, he could turn out to be a looker. Please keep us updated!

I would say QH Arab cross. He looks a lot like my rescue did. I've attached a few pictures of her. It was a LONG process getting her to look not about to die. And a great deal of money on vet/weight builders/good feed and hay.

She was really old, but very sweet. If you do go through with it, patience is key. Once you get their trust back, they will cling to you and you have a chance to change their life.

I agree with everyone else as well. Quarb would be my opinion. He has got an arab type head but his body type says stock breed to me.
