I see this has the interchangeable gullet system. You might want to also check into the M. Toulouse saddles with the Genesis system which widens the saddle tree, (not just the gullet) if you are interested in trying to get a better fit to your horse (or multiple horses). I have two M. Toulouse saddles (NOT with Genesis system) that I love, been riding them for 4 years. Even though they are not meant to last for generations, they will hold up plenty long for me. I consider them an upgrade to Henri De Rivel saddles. I tried out both brands and I found the Toulouse saddles to have softer leather and to be more comfortable. Good saddle care will make any saddle last longer.

Before sinking that amount into a new saddle I would see if there was one close enough to sit in or take on trial. I think Dover had a program - you would need to check.

I find those horribly uncomfortable to ride in and the one my child used that was considered his size with appropriately placed blocks he absolutely disliked.

There is a member here that has had similar experience with M. Toulouse.

Do you have a consignment or tack shop close that may have saddles for you to try before purchase?

I agree that trying out is the way to go. A saddle that fits the horse may not be comfortable for you, depending on the twist, etc. Saddle fitting is hard, you are fitting horse and rider with one saddle.
I tried my trainers HDR and loved it but I what a mono so I was looking in to this or there Genesis saddle

Go to smartpakequine.com and search for M Toulouse monoflap. They have a test ride policy (free return) and have a clearance going on a monoflap event saddle with genesis system. Ask them about the twist, most people who find these saddles uncomfortable is because the saddles have a medium twist rather than a narrow twist. My bone structure allows for comfort in a medium twist saddle.
