I just switched over to straight talk for my cell phone and I HATE it with a passion. I'm paying for unlimited talk and data which 99% of the time I can't use because it doesn't work. My phone says I don't have service or Internet connection. Even when it says I have service (which is pretty rare) I still can't download music or anything and the Internet is unreliable. When it first started giving me problems (which was minutes after setting it up) I had to go back to the store and I was told that the person put the sim card in upside down. :headshake:
Well now it's right side up and it's still being a piece of...poop. :headbash:
I seriously want to smash my phone. It couldn't possibly get anymore useless.
Sorry, I just needed to rant a bit. Before straight talk I used my phone ALOT and it's frustrating to not be able to use it at all.

If your Phone uses a Sim Card on Straight Talk it is using AT&T Towers, maybe you do not get 3G service in your area from AT&T

Straight Talk also has phones that use Verizon Towers, maybe a different phone that uses Verizon is in Order.

I know of 5 people that have straight talk, 2 AT&t Versions and 3 Verizon Versions, all have had no reported problems with web, talk or email... hmmmm

Sorry yours is giving you problems....

Just tossing this out there, sometimes phones start acting up and need a reset to get working properly again. If you try that you need to back up everything first.

I have a straighttalk phone and it works pretty well as long as you get a verizon phone! I have the samsung proclame! The internet isnt that great and if your like me and use it alot they like to slow down your internet speed! I love my phone for call quality though it gets through in wallmart and at work! Both shops are dead zones for most cells! If you decide to stick with straighttalk and get a new phone dont bother with the merit its not worth the money you spend on it. My fathers girfriend had one and while i could get a call out of my house she couldnt she had to go outside. I would love to upgrade to a I-phone but I can think of so many other things to spend my cash on!

haha.

I once was sold a phone and service when I lived pretty "far out there". They promised that it would get reception at my residence. It did not about 95% of the time. I explained this and the fact that they had made a verbal contract that they would provide service, including and especially at my specific address, for whatever the charge. They ended the contract w/o penalty. If it is a matter of phone type and towers as others have suggested, I imagine it is worth chatting with them in an effort to make it right.
