Hi, I bought this paint mare who is entirely white, no spots and just a faded bit of red roan on the hip. I've found that she is extremely sensitive to just about everything. She has pink pigmented skin and the simplest of scratches really irritate her. She gets super sunburnt and picked on by the others, my main thing is anytime she gets a scrape flies begin to just eat her away and it becomes super red and irritated. Its starting to get in the way of riding because of where the pad gets laid. Any suggestions? We are currently building a separate shelter away from the other horses where I am planning on stalling her during the day. Should I invest in a UV fly sheet, give her frequent baths? (she is just comparable to baby skin).

In during day and out at night. If you don't have access to that yet then UV fly sheet. Too much skin to cover any other way.

Put Desitin on the bad spots. It will help heal them and provide sunscreen because of the zinc.
