Happy St. Patrick's Day, hope you all didn't drink so much green beer that you're feeling bad tomorrow.

It was overcast and cold today. Temps dropped as the day went on so for the next couple of days highs will be in the 30's and lows in the 20's. While everyone is busy grooming their horses I'm avoiding brushing Freckles because she's my first shedder every year but she loses it too soon. She looks awful covered in loose hair but it's better than no hair. LOL
This week has been busy compared to my normal. The dental assistant asked if I had any fun plans for the weekend and I told her staying home would be the funnest thing I could do and that I planned to do just that. I've had to be way too social this week. I missed my calling of being a hermit but I'm still trying to get there. 🥴 Then Monday I'm meeting a friend for lunch in town to hand over some paperwork of hers I have. We're going to a Chinese buffet, which we both love.
Today hubs and I had lunch at a pizza buffet so I didn't fix supper but it's all finally digested and I'm starting to feel hungry again. If it gets to the point I can't ignore it I'll probably nuke a little leftover spaghetti. Besides wanting to be a hermit I also may be part vampire or maybe feline because I'd rather stay up all night and sleep during the day. I like the peace and quiet the nighttime hours bring.
I think I've finally got him on the same page as I am on flooring selection. Yay to him dragging me all over creation looking being over! Now to get it ordered and the stepson to find time in his schedule to lay it.

@tempest , not dragging but a little longer. Since days normally fly by for me, I'll take it. It was still fairly light out at 8:00 pm and that took me by surprise. Guess I hadn't been paying close enough attention to the lengthening days.
@walkinthewalk , posting 2 hours behind your post and we're 1 degree colder than you are at 27. Low is supposed to be 24 tonight.
Mission accomplished! I managed to get through the weekend without going anywhere, having company or talking to anyone other than the hubby. I feel recharged now. LOL

@ClearDonkey , mud should be a 4-letter word! Maybe horse/livestock owners should start a campaign to change the spelling to mudd.

Didn't get to eat Chinese today, they are closed on Mondays now.😭 We had Mexican instead. Then I went to the grocery store but didn't make it to the other side of town for the few things I needed to pick up at Walmart and the haircut. Oh well, another day, maybe Wednesday. As it was I didn't get home until 7:00 p.m. Good thing I got up early and fed before I left or I'd have had an angry crowd waiting on me when I got home.
Now they have more of the road we come into town on closed down and we have to go way out of the way to get there. I don't know how long they're planning on having that section closed but it's a PITA. This was not a well thought out road construction job. They have a sign pointing the way to turn to take the detour but once you turn there no more signs showing you where to turn again. LOL I wonder how many people who don't know the area are still driving around lost because that is very easy to do in this county. When mom was still alive and would come down she'd take the wrong Y on our road every time which kept her driving in circles. I don't know about google maps but garmin would get you lost too, it sent you to the gravel road that runs behind us. I've gotten lost more than once trying to find shortcuts.

@walkinthewalk , I'm with you on not appreciating hair hanging in my face which is the stage I'm in right now, drives me crazy.
My knotheads didn't come in a couple of nights ago. Stood right outside the gate of the corral staring at me but wouldn't come in because hubs was sitting in the truck waiting on me (we had just gotten home, it was starting to rain and it takes me all of 10 minutes to feed if they are cooperative so I had him stop on our way in) and they thought we were up to no good. LOL Their loss, they didn't get their food treat that night. After one of those episodes they'll beat me to the barn the next several days.
@ksbowman , I hate roundabouts! They put one at each end of the bypass that allows truckers to skip trying to get around our town square and they created more of a mess than helping traffic flow, especially since no one uses the bypass anyway. LOL

While getting ready to go to town to get the long put off haircut, hubs decided he needed to go too in order to fill his gas cans. I wasn't putting it off again so he just had to wait while I was in the salon and even worse eat cat (what he calls Chinese food). LOL I have to give him credit though for not complaining. I can see again! Tomorrow when there is natural light I wonder how many stray eyebrow hairs I'll find that have been being missed. LOL
@walkinthewalk , I'm still watching too but only because there's nothing else on at 9:00. I thought they'd have the girls doing more farm work than they have been doing so far.
The news didn't give our exact area for expected rainfall tonight but just north of us is supposed to get about 4 1/2 inches and just west of us 4.06 inches so we ought to fall somewhere in that range.

OMG @walkinthewalk and @ksbowman , both of those things would have me not eating out for a long time.
I think country life is agreeing with Duncan. Yes, it adds to your gray hair but I bet at the same time it makes you happy to see such youthfulness out of him.
