Well said!I'm sorry I am giving this impression. I don't mean to. I think EVERY discipline has greatness. I am absolutely enthralled when I watch a good cutting horse work. I get a thrill watching a good barrel run. A beautiful, consistent balanced hunter jumping round is a thing to aspire to.
I love, and have participated in, many different styles of riding and find merit in what makes all of them great.
In eventing, what makes this discipline great is the spectrum of ability it encompasses AND the level of fitness it demands. That's all. It is NO BETTER that any other discipline. But as other disciplines should be admired for their merit, so should eventing.
