Well... I cheated.. =) I got my saddle back today even though it's not the end of November yet. But Pluto was being a little snotty to a girl who rode him earlier bareback so my trainer had me ride him with a saddle. At first it was really odd, especially because Pluto is very bumpy. At first we canter on his bad side. He got lame in one of his back feet so now it is stiff for him cantering on the right lead so it took at least 15 to 20 minuets to get him on the right lead. After a little while trying, he started to give little bucks/kicks that I didn't even really knew he was doing. The only sign I had was when he was putting his head down pretty far and when my trainer told me I handled it well afterwords. I just clenched harder on the reins and sat back a little more and he was fine. =) We cantered on the left lead without a problem. We started jumping great. The three lessons I had of No-Saddle November really helped, especially with my jumping position and sitting trot. First we just started trotting in to them especially because Pluto is new to the arena and old (17 and a x-show jumper). There was one or two times where we weren't going fast enough for the slow poke and he stopped in front of the jump. =p But we were just trotting so that explains it. Once we were cantering a line and he took a long spot I was SO not expecting... I fell on my butt..... haha but I got back on and we got it. So that made me happy. =) There's my lesson for the week, just thought I would share. Sadly, I have no videos because my mom wasn't there.. =( But it was still a good day. =)

Here is my lesson riding Pluto last week bareback. We jumped higher this week though, it's just hard for me to balance so we couldn't jump as high... =( Also, this is the first time I jumped him, and didn't know exactly how fast he needed to go. I have ridden Bee slower then that and she made it over easy... but hes not Bee, hes Pluto. =)
