I love riding my horse bareback and bridleless! We started out in the round pen, but I've since ridden her in her pasture and she did just perfectly.

She's a purebred Arabian mare, by the way. This is truly bridleless -- I am not using a bridle, a halter, or even a rope around her neck. She goes walk/trot/lope for now and can "spin" verrrry slowly (that is, turn in place without moving forward). :3 lol. I'm working on teaching her a bridleless back-up cue too but she hasn't caught on yet.
Anyone else enjoy riding their horses bareback and bridleless? What cues do you use? Destiny goes faster with leg pressure, of course, turning is right leg to go left, and left leg to go right. She responds to voice commands to slow down; "Easy", "Trot," "Walk," and "Whoa." Her "whoa" is amazing; she stops almost instantaneously, even coming down from a lope.
