At the auction the other night, I was asking one of the men there about this nice looking barrel saddle that was going to be sold that night and he told me it was on a roping tree. I know it wasn't a roping saddle, it said barrel queen or something like that on it somewhere, but I had never heard of these before. Are there actually barrel type saddles out there that you can still tie a rope to?
Thanks:)

Yea, I was thinking of getting one for that purpose. Another dumb question- could a decently made barrel saddle, such as a circle y or billy cook, handle dragging some logs or tires around? We were hoping to get some of our horses used to that stuff before summer so we can try roping some of our cows lol.

well i used my martha josey barrel saddle to drag around a small log but im not sure how well it would hold up to a big tire. But depending on the quality of your barrel saddle or mainly the tree, im sure you could pull a small log or small tire.

^ That saddle is so cool! What brand is it? I was looking into these barrel saddles with roping trees, but most of them have long double skirts like roping saddles and I need a nice short one because my horses back is so short.

Yeah, what kind of saddle is that and where can I get one?! I'm in the market right now and looking at a Sharon Camarillo Courts combo barrel/roping saddle and I'm about to get it as an all around saddle.

... But SERIOUSLY Appy, where on earth can I get that?!

It's a custom Miles City Saddlery saddle. I designed it myself so I am very proud of it! :) They've never made another that looks like mine! When it was finished the saddle maker called me and said "It turned out kinda girly" LOL!! I LOVE it! They are NOT cheap but it's the kind of saddle that last forever! You can pretty much make them ANY way you want, they have tons of tree options. I just stopped in a couple of days ago and they are now making me a matching breastcollar :)
Here's you a couple more pics!!
