Its sad, but no one wants a 2,000+ pound horse that can't do anything. (Dave has a disorder that makes him scare easily and lock up) and Blaze is about too old to be broken. I can't just starve or neglect them just because I want my car done and like I said I really do like both of the horses too.

What age is "too old to be broken?" just wondering.

I believe he is 7+ years old.

That's not too old. Its a little harder,but not impossible. Cinny was 7 when I bought him and had a bad 30 day training experience that made him even harder to deal with than if he hadn't been messed with....2 years later my 12 year old and other kids can ride him out in trail!

But the problem is out here everyone is broke. I saw someone was trying to sell their broken mare for only $650. Plus I can't just rid of one horse because then they wouldn't have anybody to b buddies with.

In January I use safeguard. April- Quest Gel, July- Ivermectin, and October- Tapewormer. The tapewormer brand is Equimax.

Thanks. So do you do at those times of year because those are the kind of worms that are common that time of year?

There are daily dewormers that you can feed (like Strongid C2X) but you should still do a fecal egg count twice yearly and worm with praziquantel for tapeworms (which don't show up in fecal egg count tests)

Okay I will do that thanks. It is nice there is something that will continually prevent worms. I will give them a wormer to actually kill anyworms they have first though and I'll have an egg count done when I have the money which shouldn't be too long.
