We had a foal born May 26th that was born with very dark blue/brown eyes. They're mixed. He comes from two black parents. My question is how long does it take for foals to figure out the color eye that they will have? I expected his dark blues to turn to brown already but, they don't appear to be changing.

My filly still has a blueish tint to her eyes but they won't remain that way. She was born May 11th.
