Hey Everyone,
In the past few months, Savannah has been progressing nicely! We have gone on a few rides, lunge work, free lunge, and minor ground work. She is getting easier to catch from the pasture, and doesn't bolt as often. Although, we are still having a few respect issues, resulting in head tossing, a few bucking incidents, and bolting. While she is 10x's better than when we first got her, I think we have finally figured out the problem - a sore back. If she does, it explains everything from running away in the pasture, to bad undersaddle behavior, even the kicking when we touch her back legs. This FIRST thing I'm having done when this weather clears up is; find a good chiropractor. Any thoughts?
I just wanted to share our progress, and I've found her calling! She is being trained to run goats, herding and exercising! She enjoys it, and I worked her bareback with he herd yesterday! [: . I would have her sent to a trainer to be a cow horse.. but most of the cows are bigger than her :shock:.... lol. I have pictures that I will post (soon!) of Vannah, the goats, and Prince running the goats (I turned him out for a good jog, also[
.
Sorry, another pointless post, but I thought you guys needed an update[;
