I have a new Arabian mare, 4 years old, 14.1 hands at the moment. She's still got another year or so of maturing, but I have run into some tack issues. I have a normal horse size bridle, that obviously won't fit her, but I also have a cob size bridle that I thought would fit her. I tried it on her today, and even on the last hole, its too big for her. I don't think that a pony size bridle would fit, but I could be wrong. I don't have a lot of money, but I will need a bridle that fits her. I just don't want to be spending time and money to go buy a bridle to find it doesn't fit, to have to go back and try another one. So here's my question. Those of you who have had, or currently have an Arabian, what size bridle do you use, is there a place that makes bridles specifically for Arabians that isn't horribly expensive, and is there anyone selling a bridle that is known to fit an Arabian, or is small enough that it should fit? I have a cob size halter that fits her fine, on the bridle its the cheeks that are too big. The brow band fits perfectly, and so does the throat latch. My 4 3/4 inch french link loose ring seems to fit her fine, just to give you a bit of an idea of her size.

If the only issue is that the cheekpieces are too long, then you could just try punching new holes further up the leather so that it'll adjust smaller. You could also take it to a tack store or saddle-maker and they could do it for you (but you can just as easy do it at home). That's what's I'd do instead of spending the money on a whole new one. :)

I have a normal sized horse bridle that fits my arab, and all my horses actually. But punching holes in it sounds like your best bet
