Backstory to her injury here - http://www.horseforum.com/horse-health/wrap-swelling-injured-leg-783914/

Current Pic of Injury - Not using Blue Kote- Grass Nose Snout Livestock Bovine

So I am getting ticked because her gauze keeps coming out from under her wrap. I'm currently doing ointment, gauze, gamgee, polo wrap for an update there. She isn't tearing her wrap off, it just wiggles out. I've tried wrapping lower over her hoof, tighter, nothing really helps. I'd like to keep using gauze because the gamgee soaks the ointment.

I found some really old unused Canine Sanitary Pads for dogs in heat. They're called Four Paws Sanitary Pads, I don't think they are manufactured anymore. They are about five inches long and about 2 1/2 wide. They are slightly rougher on the padded side than gauze, but not uncomfortably rough, I'd put it on an open wound on my own body. They would not agitate the wound. They have plastic on the back like that of a freezer bag. I figure these would "stick" to the gamgee staying in place better. I'm trying one out. Is there any issue to using these? Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep actual gauze on? Do I even need gauze? My vet is too busy to call.

I've used human "light day pads" and diapers in lieu of gauze for wounds before. In fact, I keep light day pads in my equine med kit. ;-) Check the label on the box to see what the wicking material is - you don't super-absorbent stuff.

I can't see it being a problem as long as you're putting them over a clean area - the danger of wrapping any wound is that you increase the temperature under the wrap and that can create a perfect breeding ground for bacterial and fungal infections
When I've had wounds like that that need to have a dressing secured to prevent it slipping down I've used sileage tape. It sticks better than duct tape and its more flexible.
I don't know where to buy it in the US as I've not seen it in Blue Seal or Tractor Supply around here - my DH buys a supply from an agricultural store in the UK when he goes over there on business

You can try the pads, or I use regular sanitary pads with good results, too. The "Always with Wings" live in my first-aid kit. If you want to keep using gauze, try folding the top edge of the gauze up and over the wrap, then taping it, then wrapping another layer. That usually helps keep the gauze from walking down below the bandage.

Are you using Elasticon? Its white gauze like tape that stretches and sticks to their hair and itself. It works well in high motion areas that other wraps bunch or slide. Currently have a horse in the pasture with some on his knee. Never slips and minimal impact on motion.
