I'm in southern Manitoba, we still have at least 1 - 1 1/2 feet of snow in our round pen!! This has been such a long winter for us!

Wow, I was totally expecting some beautiful green pasture with wild flowers and grazing horses. I had no idea the snow lasted so long! I bet it's beautiful when it actually IS green though.

OHHHH thanks for reminding me what I miss about Idaho, Illinois and New Hamsphire... among other places.

Thinking of you all from warm/hot/humid/too wet or too dry Caribbean paradise in the Dominican Republic. LOL. Our pastures are green year round. No winter work or worry about hay. We can ride just about everyday. And when it rains.... it's a warm rain.

DANG IT SERENO! STOP EATING MY BANANA TREES!

I went to McGinnis Meadows Cattle Ranch in Libby, MT two years ago in mid-May. When we saddled up in the morning, it would be 26 degrees and by lunch, it would be a very pleasant 70. I fell in love with Montana during my week out there, but I am pretty sure I couldn't handle the cold and long winters. Hubby and I are seriously considering retiring in that area, but only staying there May-October and having another smaller place in a warmer climate for the winters. But I have to say..the view of snow capped peaks in May, from the back of a horse, is something that is hard to beat!

I would just die!! Well at least you have sun when the snow stops. For me when it is raining and stops we still have dark dreary clouds! Thank goodness for 82 today!!!

I am luxuriating in the 75 F we have here. Must be breaking records... normal summer highs are 65, and it is spring! The winter here was pretty cool, went down to freezing twice, normal lows are 45 F. Oh season-less coastal living...
