circle y 2026 Barrel racer saddle good for heavier rider ?

Hi,
I'm evaluating a used circle Y "Barrel Racer" saddle model 2026. I'm not exactly sure about the year because I can't decipher the serial number code but I think it's older than 2006 based on the style of the plate. I think circle Y uses Ralide synthetic trees for those barrel racing saddles.
I weight 210 pounds and I'm trying to figure out if that saddle is a good saddle for my horse with my weight. I don't do barrel racing but I thought lighter barrel racing saddles would be better for my weight. this is my first western saddle so I'm kind of lost. what do you think ?

What kind of riding do you plan to do with it? I'm asking because barrel saddles tend to pitch you forward since barrel racers ride with a much more forward seat and you might find it unbalances you.

OP, the most important factors are that the saddle FITS your horse and that the saddle fits you.
Weight or no weight, it's important for the saddle to disburse your weight evenly across the tree.

Can you post pictures of the saddle?
Have you tried it on your horse?

Hmm. I would disagree with this.
When I am fixing to take my horse into a turn at a full run, I sure do not want to be "pitched forward" or I'll find myself dashboarded.
With that said, different barrel saddle brands have different feels. I like mine with a deep seat.

I'm going to defer to you. You have much more knowlege in this area than I do. It may be that everyone I have seen who wasn't a barrel racer and used a BR saddle would pitch forward in any saddle and I'm blaming the saddle.

Here are pictures of the saddle. I will get picture on the horse later today. But the fact that it is a synthetic tree and not wood is not an issue for my weight ? I was going to have a saddle fitter come and look at it yesterday but he bailed on us at the last minute.

Trail, Arena work, working equitation, medieval games. I have a Portuguese saddle, but it only fit him ok and it’s bugging him so we will stop using it. I’m planning on getting proper measurements and get another Portuguese or Spanish saddle, but I found this western saddle for now that I though could be better because it’s lighter.
