Just wondering what everybody else thinks about my rescue mare. She is a 17 year old QH mare registered as Kip N Easy but known around the barn as Malibu Barbie because she has this slightly snobby attitude (hates stepping in mud, has to be stalled at night or throws a fit). She was abandoned in a pasture with a stud, so she may be bred as well. I know that she needs more weight, just wondering what everybody thinks of her structurally.

i think she will be nice when she gains her weight back. Hopefully she isnt bred (certainly doesnt look like it but ya never know) i looked at her pedigree on allbreed and you should barrel race her lol, streakin six grandaughter!

She looks like all she really needs is some more weight which you are working on. It is hard to tell though from the pics about conformation but she looks like she is a really sweet girl.

First time I really rode her was in a lesson where they had some barrels set up. Took her around them just for fun and she whipped around them like a pro. I was holding of for dear life in my english saddle. She likes cows too, hopefully I can show her a bit next year in all around stuff.

Hard to tell until she gains some weight but what I do see is that she is a little steep in the shoulder, and has a hunter's bump. I look forward to seeing her all filled out! She is built like a runner.

I really like her actually. As already mentioned by everyone else, I also think she needs a lot of weight put on. Glad to know you were able to rescue her, she's a lucky mare. Will be interesting to see how she turns out with some regular riding and some regular meals.
