I have been toying with the idea of getting a riding / driving horse.
I have been open to all breeds, but I wold love to have a half arab.
I have read a lot of adds that say country pleasure (driving and riding). What is that?
Does that mean they are gaited? I do not want a gaited horse.

Also are National Show Horses always Arab/Saddlebread crosses and are they always gaited or always not gaited?
Thanks.

Country Pleasure= Saddleseat And there is a driving country pleasure where the horse is driven instead of ridden.
National Shows are always half saddlebred/arab-
As for the breed I love them! I've owned many a horse but NSH are my favorite- Simply because they're a combination of my favorite breeds.

This is one I am tempted to go and look at. The owners say he is not gaited.

What do you think?

It isnt unusual for some to rack- which would count as a gait. But they wont gait like a Walker or anything.

And I cant judge a horse for crud- lol But I think He's very handsome. I bet his head curls around beautifully-
His conformation Looks a lot like my geldings.
