just so u know this video is like a year old and i have gotten better since then and i know my jumping position is horrible but i just started jumping lol and i was rocking a lot at the canter. lol and i didnt have Gem (my horse's) head quite right yet lol and the other girl riding the draft cross is my friend Kayla. sorry for the low quality and the way i put the video together isnt good either but hey....i tried lol

Okay, well, you said it yourself: your jumping position needs alot of work. I would stick to groundpoles and work on your position - your stirrups could go two holes higher, you have too much foot in your stirrups, your back should be arched, and your shoulder should be more open. You're not releasing with your hands, your leg is swinging back, and you're sitting back in the saddle too quickly. I would definitely not do combinations yet.

However, your flatwork looks solid! I'm assuming this video was made when you were super new to jumping. Everyone makes loads of mistakes when learning how to jump! I would love to see a more recent video to see the improvement!

thanks for the advise! i know i need alot of work on jumping, my old trainer was making me jump doubles when i first started and my horse had never jumped before either. sadly i have to stop jumping for a while cuz i got a new horse and he is only 3 and i cant realy jump till he is five he has only been under saddle a few times, and the horse i was jumping in that video is almost 17 and i dont want to put that much stress on him because of his age
