So, I got a job at a great facility that works with youth groups, girl scouts, small school groups, and special needs kids on horseback. They teach them everything about horses and let them ride around and depending on their level of experience (there's a scale system) go out and enjoy the trails and beautiful scenery.
Today was my first day. I met all 10 horses (Spring, Bobbi, Copper, Riley, Cowboy, Ranger, Scout, E.T., Wolf, Maverick) that are used for the program, tacked them up, and taught Girl Scouts getting their first Horse Fan badge how to stop, go, turn left and right, and then we did a fun "egg and spoon" race type thing (without the race part. haha).
SO FUN. this was just my first day and I'm so excited to be working there all summer. There are great horses, great kids, and I have a great boss!
