Ok, so I was browsing craislist (I know, never a good start to a thread lol) and I found this:

I e-mailed the guy for more info on the first saddle - the light oil one. Does it have potential to look like a nice saddle? I've never helped bring one "back from the dead" before so to speak...it is close enough to go see it in person and I will check the tree and everything thoroughly, but is it even going to be worth it? If it does look like a diamond in the rough, any tips on helping it be the saddle it once was? Thanks.

The 1st one does look to be in much better condition than the 2nd one. I think it would depend on how you are using it. It will never look new but it looks very usable. I think it will look the same just cleaner.
