I have a Tennessee walking horse gelding and he doesnt have the thickest mane and i was thinking about pulling/cutting it short to look a little more sporty. what do you think?
Personally, I wouldn't pull it or roach it. If you're worried about it being thin, get some of the hair growth stuff that the people on here talk about. I've been meaning to pick some up for my girl; just keep forgetting to grab it when I go to town. She has a thin mane right now. The new growth is about 4 inches long and stands straight up. From the one side she looks like she has a mohawk.
Nononononon, keep his mane how it is! It's beautiful now, and it would look not so great once it's pulled. I'm personally not a big fan of them pulled.
I'd say you should only chop off some mane if the horse was like this...
