Please help........

I have had a mare for the last 7 months on loan from a lady I know. She basically wanted me to bring her back into work so she can sell her. Unfortunately the time has come and she is going back tomorrow. I am completely heartbroken! We have built up such a bond with each other and I have now got to say goodbye which is going to be so hard!

So the search is back on. I am looking for a horse on PERMANENT loan that no one is going to take back from me, that I can love and spoil rotten! I am looking for something 15hh - 16.3hh, mare or gelding, not too old, that does a bit of everything. I know there must be something out there somewhere that I can give alot of love and a good home to. Please help

Would it be possible to buy the horse from the lady? That way you could keep her

Have you looked into rescues? There are many there that need someone to love them.

It would be very doubtful for someone to "give" you a horse. Most people feel that if you can't afford to buy a horse then you might not have the money to care for the horse if it gets injured or sick. I'm not saying that is the case, just saying that is what some people think.

Have you tried an auction? I just got a beautiful black filly for my daughter last saturday for only $125!

hi, i know what you are going through...basically the same thing. I lease a pony from my mums friend and even though its only been just over a year, i have grown such a bond with her its amazing. Now she is to small for me so the lady said to sell her. Im going to ball my eyes out when she goes. Maybe you could bye the horse off the lady and if your a tad behind money, you could work it off or something. :idea:

Hey Meggymo,

There is a horse named Farra where I ride, She isn't the youngst horse around, I'll have to find out her age. But if your wanting a loving horse she's perfect. She is a quarter Palamino, and not as tall as you'd like her, but she is a one person horse and would be great for a good lovin. She can be lightly ridden... Maby a little cantering, but not much. For she has sore hocks, because she was worked hard when she was young. (We got her from a rescue center.) We are giving her away, because we used her for lessons, but she didn't like the switching riders much. I know she dosn't meet all your height and age qualifications, but if you like her and want her, E-mail me at [email protected] and I'll talk to the owner(my BFF)

But there's one thing, if you do want her, we would have to figure something out because sense she is a rescue horse, we can't sell her till we've had her for two years, which we haven't. So you would have to be fairly close to the Tomball, TX area.=(
