Does Moonshine's saddle fit Rowan (pictures! videos!)

Does Moonshine's saddle fit Rowan? Does it fit well enough to get away with for now? If not, would reflocking help (it's wool)? Or perhaps a certain kind of saddle pad?

I'm currently thinking that it doesn't make a lot of sense to buy a saddle that fits a horse I'm just fostering, especially a horse who is still changing shape. If this one is "good enough" for now, I will take it.

I hope you guys can see what I meant about the channel being narrow in this saddle.

He doesn't like it too much right now, but he didn't like the bareback pads too much at first either, and he got used to them pretty quickly. There's a bonus video of him "bucking". Fortunately for me, he will never make it as a rodeo bronc.

I think it's ok. It slides a bit forward, so may be a tad too wide, but maybe a pad and a half pad will help with that.

It seems fine to me. I'd keep evaluating as he keeps changing shape. Also as you begin riding, assess for soreness issues.

The width looks ok to me but it's sitting pommel low, dropping into the hollow behind the shoulders. It might be possible to have the front panel flock altered to fit but it may be easier to use a front-shimmed pad or a wither pad over the saddlecloth, particularly if it'll need to fit another horse later.

It thrills me to hear that I saw most of what our resident English saddle fit expert saw!
