I came home from the groceries store and my German Shepard is limping. It's her left front leg, so it's not anything to do with her hips. There is no blood or visible injury. She puts some weight on it. She can stand normally but can't put weight on it when she walks. She just saw a squirrel and high tailed it across the yard, so she can sort of run, but with a weird gait. My problem is that the vet closes on Saturdays at noon, and charges a heafty fee to come in after hours. Is this something that can wait till Monday? It doesn't seem to severe, but if it's something that is going to get worse if I leave it alone a day and a half then I am willing to get the money for it.

Also, she got locked in the garage on accident when we left, so my theory is that she injured herself while scratching at the door and trying to get in. Our other dog was inside and she can be quite frantically jealous.

Not sure if you have already, but check her paws really close...I had a dog who got a little piece of glass in his foot you could only see in the right light. It really bothered him and rightly so!

Personally, I would just keep an eye on it and call if it got worse.

I have looked at her paws, but I might get out our super duper flashlight and look again. She seems to be improving even though it's only been an hour.
