My donkey has a cold, does anyone have any tips on how to help her? Her nose is runny and she?s sniffly but that?s the only symptoms I?ve seen so far. We?ve had a cold front the last two days so it?s been a sudden change to the upper 50?s from the usual Florida 90?s so I think that she got sick from that.

As long as there's not a thick or colored mucus, I'd watch it but not worry too much. My mare had some of this the other day but then it just went away. If she's not having trouble breathing os isn't acting sick otherwise, I wouldn't worry. Just watch her. It could be the temp change or allergies, or just a bunch of dust in her nose. Just watch for more severe symptoms and call the vet if it gets worse and doesn't go away.

My old mare has sinusitis, at least that is what I suspect. She's having nasal discharge, no fever. Some blood in the discharge- maybe 3 drops. Just started this morning. I will be bringing her to the vet Monday if symptoms persist. I'm in Florida as well, where are you located? I'm in Alachua.

I had a mare with sinusitis before this. She had very bloody nasal discharge, but responded well to antibiotics. Hope your donkey improves.
