So my friend was posting about her (well her landlords) stallion who is just adorable with a fantastic forelock but who cares about looks when you're stallion acts like a gelding? Doesn't even need a bit just a hackamore! Didn't even flinch when a dog walked between his legs or was tied to his saddle great with babies and other horses....sounds like dream construe if you ask me!

That whole " gelding like" attitude can go to hell, when a mares nearby, it's lovely. The cuddly little teddy bear turns into a 1000 hormone controlled beast.

My stud SAM is never a out of control beast even when around mares. He knows when he is to work and when he is to "PLAY" My kids can handle him with no issues. he is a 18.2 hand mack truck of a draft. Love him to death!

I'd love tonpost pics but all the pictures have my friend in them and even if I had permission id be nervous putting them up...I'm not paranoid just cautious...very cautious. I don't know that he's around mares a lot ( though has babies and is a very proud daddy)

What exactly is it about him that makes it a good decision to keep him a stallion? I really don't see how an easy to get along with stallion is better than an easy to get along with gelding...or mare either for that matter. Unless, of course, their are some super blood lines in there that are worth breeding. Maybe I'm missing something.
