Hey folks 😊

I’m currently working on some research around equine cancer.

If you or anyone you know has experience with horses in any capacity and could spare a few minutes to fill out this questionnaire regarding knowledge or experience surrounding diagnosis, treatments and prognosis, it would be greatly appreciated 😊

Thank you

Why is it, these "surveys", are always a 1st posting
Because usually the people needing the data from the survey get to the forum through a Google search after not getting enough data from their usual social media.
I don't think the data collected here is significant, neither I think should be use for a "real study TM": too much bias, not an statistical recollection of the distribution of the population to analyze the validity of the study, and usually the questions have only biased options for the answers with no space for comments to give explanations to put your answer into context, but I usually answer when I have something to participate. Not in this survey, fortunately I don't have experience in equine cancer.

I have no issue with students collecting data wherever they can get it! It only makes sense to post something like this in a horse forum. However, I don't have any experience with equine cancer either, so I can't help. But I always do the surveys when I can!

You have to understand that while this is not necessarily a statistically significant sample of data, these surveys are usually used as a jump-off points for students, not in any conclusive way. In other words, it might help a student put together a hypothesis, but it's not going to be used as scientific evidence to back the use of a new treatment, for example. There is a very big difference between the two.
