Why not do all your core classes online (or via CLEPs) and then when you're ready, go to college part time

If you're aiming for a four year degree, find out where you would like to go and look at their requirements and see how many credits they allow to transfer in. Then take as many courses as you can at your local community college, either online or in class. You could also consider getting a two year degree in something and transfer over to a four year program. It's a LOT easier to transfer with a two year degree than it is without.

For example, I was not accepted into a particular school when I only had some credits. Once I got my two year degree, I was automatically accepted.
