Sounds weird, I know!
For ten years, Comet had just one marking; a white star on his forehead. This winter, we noticed he developed something else; a white snip on his upper lip.

He's registered for only the star, but because of his new addition, do you think we'd have to change anything?
Has this happened to anyone before?

yes this has happened to my horse!
he is registered with just a star, but he has a white top lip! i noticed this after having him for about a month... i think they do change.

also i used to ride a pony called teddy, then i left that riding school and he turned up at my new one 2 years later, and his face markings looked slightly different, here are some pics

his star is bigger now, comes over more to the right (his left) don't you think?

I don't know if you have to change anything... maybe call the registry and ask?

Soda has developed a snip too and it seems to have gotten bigger over the last three years. He was also registered with just a star. And he developed a small white spot on his left side where the girth goes, perfectly round. His wither barring has also gotten more prominent with age.

So yeah, I think they do change a bit as they age.

Huh... that's bizarre! My horse hasn't changed that I know of... but I'll keep an eye out now. My dog has changed a LOT in the last couple months, though ;}

My Bay has been developing little white hairs scattered through his coat. Almost like white peppering in a man's hair as he ages.

Although she isn't a horse, I bought my kitten as a completely Silver Tabby but as she's got older she's gone really ginger so I asked the vet what colour she was and she's a Blue Tortie. Posh eh?
