Could those of you that use it share your experience?? A good friend of mine told me that she has used it regularly for 9 years and (knock on wood) has never had a horse colic, she has anywhere from 7-9 horses through the years. I was thinking of using it on my gelding who has had mild gas colics this past few weeks.

I used it. My horse was on it when I got him but he kept weight on it and never had an issue.

It got expensive so I stopped...

Then I moved him to another barn.
He spent a lot of time stalled or in small turnout areas alone with NO grass and they switched types of hay and hay providers like crazy. All that was not good for him . Every time the weather changed he got a very mild case of not feeling/looking right and he would go off his feed for a meal. He ate more and gained less... (he was off it for over a year).

I finally put him back on and he never looked back... I have since sold him and he does well off of it but he gets 24/7 turnout on HUGE grassy pastures with other horses.

It's been great for horses at my barn who have had colic surgery in the past.
