I am looking for an all purpose english saddle that is at least 17" in the seat and has a wide tree (needs to measure 5 1/2 " across under pommel) and I'd like it to be in my area so I can go try it out. Maybe someone else knows some better search engines than me because I am having trouble finding one in my area - zip code 34207

Have you tried your local craigslist or craiglook.com (will search within a certain distance of your zip code)?

yes I have, have not been able to find one that fits both horse and rider

Or possibly look for a wintec, they aren't very expensive, and they have the changeable gullet so you can make it into a wide. Thorowgood has a good line of saddles with various widths and options such as high wither, wide, etc.
