Alrighty people! This is my first time going out to the cross country course. It was so much fun. The horse I rode was Gangsta. He is an OTTB, and not the best jumper, but he tries. We all love him to pieces. Well here are the pics that I got.

I dont plan on riding CC as my specialty. I was just doing it for fun:) Im a hunter Jumper. Thats why he has the open front(which are really Jasmines, but we wanted to match) and standing martingale. We got out to Frying Pan Park just to go around the course to get out of a ring. But I am going to invest in a vest.

Looks like you guys had fun. Just as an FYI, the forward hunter-jumper position can backfire on a XC course. If you're already riding forward, and your horse decides to pop a jump and broad jump it, you'll likely get smacked in the face by your horse's neck. You kind of need to sit back (half seat, I'm not saying sit literally) and wait for the horse to leave the ground before assuming the position.
Will do next time:)
