Frech link VS. Oval link bit?

which is softer? which one would you use on a greenie?

i use a rubber D ring snaffle on my greenie now but am on the market for something a little less bulk in thier mouth and a double link bit. these are the two that i have been looking at. i dont want anything stronger than what i have now. what are your thoughts??:wink:

Control your hands and the bit will be as soft as you want.

I agree with Kevins.

That said, I would probably go with the French Link, although they are very similar.

I don't quite agree actually. Horses prefer some bits over others. And yes it's as harsh as rider's hands, but still.

French link = oval mouth in severity (both are very mild bits). However I found my horses like more the oval mouth. Both of them.

i use a oval link bit with my horse. he responds well with it

i reccomend french links =] theyre awesome and have made all the difference in a few horses i've ridden, including one of my owns attitude when ridden

BUT every horse is different and what works for them. i'd find some used cheap ones and play around see what he likes. stay in a snaffle if you can =]
