Does anyone have any experience with GastroElm Plus for ulcer and anxiety assistance? MY 11 YO barrel horse has just been cleared from a bout of ulcers. It appears to be a natural product containing Dandelion Root, Slippery Elm Powder, Thistle Milk, and marshmallow root. Its not expensive but wanted to get some feedback. Thanks in advance.

Chrystal, I know this isn't the natural remedies your talking about but, my 3 yo filly went thru a round of ulcers in Jan. and Feb. . We went thru the vet prescribed medicines and got mediocre results. A friend of mine whose wife barrel races and I were talking and I ask him if she had any problems with ulcers in her barrel horses . He said she did and she used Purina Outlast with her feed and had great luck with it. I tried this on my filly and it has worked wonders. It relies a lot on the calcium in alfalfa to neutralize the acid if I remember correctly. Check it out and I think you'll like the results.
