so, Mr. i dont like horses, who has been lunging, and trick training, and loving on my horse for the past couple of months, was watching me ride yesterday. i was on "his" horse, toby, my gelding. well, guess who got a bug up their butt and said, "hey baby, why dont i tack up annie and you can hop on her and ill get on him and we'll go for a walk...?"

oh yes, yes we did. we dont have a saddle that fits him yet, and i think thats the ONLY reason he doesnt try to ride more often.... but of course, true to grumpy pants form, he couldnt actually look like he enjoyed himself... noooo. LOL
except that one picture at the end, where he actually was smiling and turned away before my camera could get it.....

Aww, look at that! Time to get him his own saddle to make the occasion more frequent! I'm still trying to talk my own grumpus into riding with me one day, and hoping that one later day we can get him his own horse ;)

The best part was after when he said up and down it was for my benefit. Lol, ok, sure, whatever you say grumpy pants.

I've found that the best thing to do in that case is just not to argue with it. Let him think that you think it was ALL for your benefit! If he thinks you're on to him then he won't do it again :p

hes just silly. i catch him giving toby kisses on the nose and mimicking the stuff i do with annie all the time. if im riding anne, its usually a safe bet hes behind the barn doing hands free work or trick training with toby. he takes him out and talks to him while he grooms him. they get along like bread and butter. he puts up this "eh, horses are dog food, cows are awesome" act, but i think hes full of poo. and so does toby ;) lol

hahaha...someone is getting interested! Definitely time for his own saddle I think, even if he refuses! My DH looked the same way in my saddle...oozing out of it LOL
