I do not know her sires names. I do not know anything about Breezes sire, or her mother.

All I know is that Breeze's dams registered name is Hank Red Ace, and yes, she is registered, I don't think the owner of her would lie about that.

 

Color me confused - you say you don't know anything about the sire or dam, but then say you know that the dam is registered and by what name??

Breezy2011- unless she can show you proof I would take what she says with a grain of salt. Many people will lie and usually something anything will show up on google even if it is offspring only but I can't find a thing. Now if you can get the dams owner to show you proof ( get her reg #) then chances are she lied and the nare is not registered.

 

I don't see the point why she would lie to me though! All I asked is what Breezes dams name was, and her reply was "her registered name is Hank Red Ace"

I checked out all breed pedigree but she was not there. I am not a member of AQHA so I cannot check there.

All she was used for was a 4h horse and a broodmare.

 

Maybe you could ask again. Have the previous owner write it down so you could research about her bloodlines. You may have an incorrect spelling :wink:

People lie to make a quick buck.

They lie to take advantage of young or ignorant people.

They lie because lying is so much easier than the truth.

People selling animals are no different than a car dealer. They are not your best friend, they do not (usually) have your best interest in mind. They want their money and will soften up whatever they can to get their money.

 

The thing is, I asked her after a month or so after I bought her. And she was not that much, only 150$

Directed at whom? As it came directly after my query to you, I would assume (dangerous, I know) me - in which case I'd like to know why you seem to have taken it offensively. I was simply asking if the information you had found was fitting with what the OP has been told. Sorry to have asked you a question.

 

Themacpack, as far as I know, the filly is a black quarter horse two year old.


The foals listed would be far too old for breezy, and the colour doesn't seem to match either.

 

Well, OP has already said that her horse is not currently registered, so I wouldn't expect that the listed "registered foals" would be a match for her

You offered the information yourself. No one poked or prodded you into giving any more information, except for a simple confirmation of if the presented information coincided.

So if you feel exploited, then that's on you. No need to be curt or rude when asked a simple question, which, as stated before, could have been a pretty simple clarification or yay or nay.

Glad you found some info on your mares dam! But take this as a lesson in horse business. It's a lot easier to sell a "purebred" QH (even without papers) to a young person then to sell a grade horse. Now, what do you know about the stallion? Is there ANY way you could find out ANY information about him from the woman you bought Breeze from?
