Last year I posted that I was soooooo bored with making plain hunt cavesson bridles, well about a dozen one off bridles I had an order to make a headcollar to measure with a few ' stars ' stitched in --- I'm not so bored now.
Here is the finished piece, what do you think.

Completely hand made - stitching as well, the stars are stitched at 16 per inch ( barking mad as usual ), it also has a padded nose and headpiece using the best english leather and solid brass fittings.

You are a true craftsman. I can tell from your work that you have been in the saddle trade for many years:) I hope with time that i can produce such wonderful leather work:) Please tell me how you get that wonderful edge on the head piece and nose band, pretty please with a cherry on the top:). Your work is inspiring and it would be fantastic to see more people bringing back the old crafts that sadly are dying due to so many manufacturers abroad producing products so much cheaper and faster. I hope one day to produce leather work to such a high standard but soley with the horses comfort as my priority. Producing such quality and perfection sadly is so costly that skilled craftsman are but a few. I hope i can learn the art and keep the craft a live, whilst allowing people like myself that are not millionaires to buy such good quality products that they will be proud to own. Your work is truly amazing xxx

OH MY GOD! I LOVE IT!

How much would a halter be in U.S currency? I WANT ONE - if it's not too expensive :p
Yeah, I'd be curious to hear that too. :)

The headcollar in the picture is about USD $120 including postage .
It has triple thickness leather , triple row hand stitched, solid brass fittings, and a padded nose and headpiece - the one in the pic is black with yellow stitching - but brown with brown ( or yellow ) stitching is not a problem
You could have different designs other than stars stitched in , as long as the pattern is not too complex - someone mentioned shamrock ( I'm guessing they are Irish ) which would not be a problem, I could also do lightning flashes , clouds etc - below are some examples of what I've stitched into nosebands , browbands - so you can have an idea.

Oh wow!! That is AMAZING!
Just out of curiousity, are you able to do halters in tobacco/newmarket (I think that's what they call the colour?) leather? Cause if you do, I know what I'm spending my birthday money on!

Wow, all of your work is absolutely impeccable. Maybe someday when I can afford it, I might have you make me some tack if you would be willing to try western. It is much simpler than most english tack.

Lifeofriley - Newmarket Tan is no problem as I have it in stock - the padding would have to be regular brown. Tobacco would have to be ordered in as I don't currently have it.
I do have 7 different shades of brown at the moment - what you could do is send me a picture of the colour you want - It can be difficult to get the shade precise from a picture but I will have a better idea of what you are after.

Smrobs - if you send me a picture of what you are after I will be able to give you an answer about if I can make it and what the price would be.
I do have a western bridle, for a customer in France, to make within a week or two so will post photo's of the finished item when I've done it.
