Hmm...well I am the wife of a US Marine, Momma of 2 rambunctious kiddos, part time photographer and small business owner and full time Horse lover
I have been involved with horses since I could walk thanks to my Mom. When we couldn't afford lessons I worked for them and spent all my time at my trainers barn soaking up as much information as possible. I started western but switched to english when I joined Pony Club for a year. Still loving english some 18 years later. I got my first baby a 8 month old TB from a breeder in Montana, started him myself. He's been everywhere with me, from WA to San Diego, CA and now to Beaufort, SC for our current duty station. I enjoyed the whole process of raising him up (he will be 7 in April) so much that I have decided to get another baby! She's a 10 month old buckskin. I pick her up saturday. I have little experience with QH's. I was raised on Arabs and TB's...all be it very calm Arabs. Not much into speed.....my TB isn't either so he's a good match for me
Hoping she will fit right in and thought I would join a board to discussion and share the joy of horse ownership.
I may be asking for suggestions on names because the new girls name is Fancy and I don't care for it!
Fancy at 6 months
Fancy now. Cannot wait to get her out of the mud and cleaned up!
My big boy. This is an old photo but he looks the same
My son at age 2 1/2 on Aidan was just 4 being taught by my old barn buddy in San Diego. Can't believe how time flies.
