I'll be getting a foal in a few months, and I need a name! The little guy/gal will either be a red dun or chestnut. The stud's barn name was Boogie, and the mare is called Ginger. I kinda like the idea of a floral/spice name if it is a filly, and if it is a colt then it's a free for all. But if you have a favorite name, please share!

So far I'm looking at Poppy, River, and Penny for a filly, and Dash, Red, and Chip for a colt.

I like Sage!

I've been looking around some more and like Marengo and Caliente. Marengo was Napoleon's horse, and Caliente is a nice red horse name and can be shortened to Cal.

I have a mare we named Sage and I love it, it's not too long, it's good for male or female, I just think it's a great name 😊.

LOL. I have known horses with at least half these names. When my boy is naughty, I threaten to change his name to Alpo. :)
