Heres Dallas, whom ive owned since he was 2 weeks old. Now 3 months. If I didnt know him from birth id think he was a different horse. The breeder said shes never seen this happen before. But his star is to the point where its only a few little hairs.

I'm not really asking why this happened. But more so pointing it out. But personally I though white marks on the face never changed.

Not sure it happens sometimes when they shed their foal coat. A friend of mines colt did the same thing.

I had a colt years ago who did the same thing. He had a star, a snip AND a sock, and they had all disappeared by the time he was 1 year old. They were all described on his registration so his papers were wrong for the rest of his life! I never bothered changing them because I didn't show or breed and I never sold him so it didn't matter.

One of my mares had a huge tornado marking down her face in the pic on her papers and white going up the pastern but as an adult it is a heel bulb and a small solid white area that is the same shape with a roan edge all the way around. The total space covered though no where near equals what she had as a baby. I swore it wasn't the same horse when I got the papers in hand but DNA says it is.
