bntnail - He mostly does it under saddle, but I've never been able to check weather he does it out in the field because I have limited time at the barn. He has done it while lunging during the transitions from walk to trot mostly. His shoulders are stiffer, but they've always been stiff so it sort of confused me why he hasn't done this in the past. As far as trimming, We've had the same farrier for over a year and we haven't had any problems.
