I had a good look thru the threads here about wood chewing.
So i have read and understand it could be not enough calcium, and it could be just habit....and all that.
My filly and her stable mate (another filly) are chewing on my barn. Not eating it, just ripping at it. Also my plastic sign (that is hung high by the way..but stretches to grab it) she hasn't ripped it, but is causing a bit of damage. They have as much hay as they want, they have purina Evolution Juvenile , they have salt licks, mineral licks, and NUTREQUIN, and in thier stalls, they have the blocks, and apple hanging treat things, and a horse pacifier...which they use all of it.
When they go outside they eat...but its usally just before i go out to feed they go to town on the barn. And there is holes starting. You can see the beavers' little flakes of wood on the ground, or on the boards between them in the barn.
MY QUESTION IS after all that... i know i know....lol is ...Is there any "home remedies" i can put on the wood to make it taste bad, that they won't chew it?????
