I didn't know where to put this, might be because my english isnt that good when it comes to the horse vocabulary... we sadly dont learn these words at school :p

So, I have somebody since this month who rides my horse 2 days a week and pays for it. She is a young girl but makes her thing very well.

She also can ride my horse when I have no time.

What kind of things did you speak about with your "leasers"?
Did you make any rules for them?
And what would you say if you told her to do something and she tells you that she would do it not like that?
Or if you told her that she can go on monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday when you cant go and than you notice that you can go on the last two days (wednesday and thursday) and you tell her that you want to go there and she tells you that you can go wednesday but doesnt mention thursday?
I felt a little like she would tell me that SHE wants to go thursday?
And I thought, it still is MY horse...
so how much do you have to accept from your leaser?

im guessing this is a part lease/share boarding thing. i think you need to come to some kind of arrangement with the girl,
things such as the days she's able to go ride your horse, and what she can and cannot feed it ect. and make sure she sticks to the rules you set on the arrangement. also most leases have a set period of time like 6 month or a year.

Ah okay but here in Germany the lease is not set to a special period of time. It sometimes is for a year, for two years or for much longer.
Fact is that you still look after your horse yourself but the days you have no time, another person does this for you.
She has her special days when she is allowed to ride my horse :)

I think the best thing would be to draw up an agreement. This is what I did when I had a horse on loan and it stops any confusion.

You probably need to just have a talk about what you both expect from each other.

I just leased out my TB to a girl. She's riding him 3, maybe 4 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and possibly Saturday). My leasing terms are very lenient, She pretty much has free reign over him for very cheap (100 dollars a month). I have a contract written out for her to sign that outlines what her responsibilities and liabilities are (like if my horse is injured while shes riding him, she pays the vet bills) and who is in charge of maintenance care such as vet visits and hoof trimming.

Horse leasing isn't that common in America is it?

I think there are many "RBs" here in Germany but in America it isn't the same.
