I have a Welsh Section D mare, 13.1h. :D
She's pretty stocky, but not a cob.

I was wondering how high she can jump? I havn't taken her much above 2ft as I am not a confident jumper myself yet. When I get a fast canter going she seems to fly over with ease but she doesn't exactly over-jump.

So any guesses as to how high I can take her?
Thank you.

Also, I want to see if my brother can ride her, what would be the maximum weight she could carry? We wouldn't do any jumping or anything as he is a beginner. I realize that you can only guess. Thanks. x

Random, but aren't section Ds supposed to be of cob type? Not trying to diss, just curious.

Pictures would be wonderful :D

I used to ride a 13.1hh Welsh gelding who could jump 3ft courses easily. Not saying that means they all can, but she very well could!

Ohh :?
Well, she's only mine on loan so I don't know what her parents were. I was told that she was a D but maybe you're right. I did think that their minimum height was 13.1 so it may be that she's around that.

This isn't my computer so I don't have any of her jumping. Could you guess?
Thanks for your help :)

I used to ride a 13 hand welsh and he jumped about 2.6" comferterably, and he jumped 3 ft ok, but always underjump your horses rather than ask too much!
