One horse, one dressage saddle, and one jumping saddle. We never use the jumping saddle, so I'll probably be selling it.

I have a western roping saddle and an abetta saddle and my husband has a western trail saddle and he still has his saddle from when he was a kid! Between us we have two horses.

I have 1 horse and 1 English and 2 Western saddles. I don't ride Western and my mare hates a Western saddle, but I got 2 saddles from a friend who was moving to Hawaii and gave me all her tack and her 2 horses. I sold the horses for her, but wound up keeping all the tack.

I have two western kids saddles and six western saddles of various types and sizes. I think I have too many saddles but some have sentimental value.

I am in the same boat as you Kevin.

Between my Dad and I, we have 5 horses that are ridden and several more that aren't.

We have a total of, I think, 8 western saddles (7 roping and 1 show). Did have 9 until we gave my old kid saddle to my niece. We need to do some culling though, there is 1 with a broken tree and like 2 more that need a trip to the saddler for some fixin'. LOL. The rest of them will stay until they are no longer fixable. 6 of them are handmade billy cooks that are older than I am.

1 horse

Kid's Western saddle
Kid's English saddle
Dressage saddle
Western saddle

The Western saddle doesn't have short enough stirrups for me so I'm going to have to get another Western saddle. So far finding an affordable 15" saddle that fits my horse and has really, really, really short stirrups has been an impossibility.

I have three saddles that are Utahn brand saddles that are quite valuable but need a little work but my dad had them for many years and even when he didn't have two dimes to rub together he never sold them so neither will I. Another saddle is the one that he rode for many years so my sons will be riding it some day as well.

Delfina, you may not have to get a whole new saddle. If you like the one that you have got, you might be able to just find some shorter leathers that will fit you, or you might be able to punch enough holes up farther on the stirrup leather to allow you to make it shorter. I had to punch 2 more holes in my old saddle so that the stirrups would fit.
